Australian Marinas Guide - Comprehensive guide to local marinas

by Media Services on 18 May 2009
Keppel Bay Marina, Capricorn Coast Queensland Fiona Harper

With over 300 marinas, as well as a few safe harbours where conventional marinas don’t exist, the Australian Marinas Guide is the only marina directory to include every marina in Australia. It’s the definitive guide for boat owners who require accurate, up to date information on every Australian marina.

The Australian Marinas Guide is totally independent and is not aligned with any boating or marina association. While the Australian Marinas Guide works closely with industry associations to better inform boat owners, it’s the boat owners who reap the benefits.

By being independent, the Australian Marinas Guide is able to list every single marina in Australia. While some boating directories are published by, or affiliated with, industry associations, they are all limited to publishing only their own members’ details, thereby reducing the usefulness of their own directory.

The Australian Marinas Guide is squarely aimed at meeting the needs of boat owners, ensuring boat owners are informed of marina options. 'Marina operators don’t need to pay hefty membership fees to be listed on the Australian Marinas Guide,' says Fiona Harper, Editor of the Australian Marinas Guide.

'Every marina is listed free of charge’' she notes.

'Our aim is to give boat owners all the information they need when determining where to berth their vessels. We set up the guide to include every marina in Australia, because that is what boat owners told us they wanted,' Fiona says.

'That’s what we’ve given them,' advises Fiona, 'with over 300 marinas and safe harbours listed on the Australian Marinas Guide'.

'Because our guide is online, it means we can update information at a moments notice, ensuring boat owners can trust the information we give them.'

The Australian Marinas Guide is delighted to be working with dynamic marina operators with a common goal, that of increasing exposure of marinas to boat owners.
