Navico expands B&G dealer network

Navico Australia has expanded B&G’s national dealer network to provide increased support for yachting enthusiasts around the country.

Navico carefully selected 14 dealers to represent the premium yacht racing electronics brand by considering factors important to B&G customers, such as the dealers’ skills base, expert knowledge of yacht racing and physical proximity to the sailing community for quick support response time. The dealer network’s skills base was further enhanced last month, when each dealer participated in a Navico / B&G technical and sales training program.

Navico Australia’s Director of Sales and Marketing Damien Weber said the expanded dealer base had not only resulted in more extensive coverage for B&G technical support, it would allow stronger brand presence in key sailing markets.

'While B&G is definitely a premium brand, there’s plenty of scope for B&G to go beyond grand prix racers, into the bluewater cruiser market, for instance,' Mr Weber said.

B&G’s New South Wales dealers are Olectric (Gladesville), Yacht Electrical Solutions (Rushcutters Bay) and BME and Andy McPhail, both in Newport. Olectric has installed B&G instruments on some of Australia’s most famous grand prix racing yachts. Yacht Electrical Solutions is located next to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, the organising club of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, while BME and Andy McPhail are around the corner from the Prince Alfred Yacht Club, the current home of the prestigious Admiral’s Cup.

The brand’s Queensland dealers are EMS (Coomera), Ultimate Marine (Brisbane), Marine Specialties Group (Sunshine Coast) and Navcom (Townsville).

In Victoria, Offshore Marine (Sandringham) and E-Sea (Melbourne) are selling and supporting B&G products.

B&G’s dealer in South Australia is Milltech Marine (Adelaide), while in Western Australia it’s Maritime Electronics Services (Fremantle).

Two more businesses are currently completing Navico’s dealer application process.

The first race that B&G’s new distribution channel will support will be the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week in August.
