AIMEX and AMIF are hosting a free 'Survive and Thrive' seminar on the Gold Coast, Thursday 30 April at Volunteer Marine Rescue, Southport, Muriel Henchman Drive, The Spit from 10am to 1pm.

The 'strategies for managing through the downturn' seminar aims to assist marine industry manufacturing businesses to remain competitive, be innovative and develop appropriate business and manufacturing strategies to manage through the current economic downturn.

The Survive and Thrive workshop is designed to provide some tools to help you manage through these turbulent times. It will assist you in preparing plans on how to address these issues in today’s market to ensure survival.

You will look at how to analyse your exposure to:
• Loss of profits
• Underperforming products and services
• Cash gaps from slow payment
• Poor debt to equity
• Productivity issues

Hear business experts from Madison Cross provide some insight and tools on the following topics:
• Securing bank finance in difficult times
• Industrial relations in turbulent times
• Being alert: questionable deals and other risks
• Smart business marketing
• Export strategies and opportunities
• Lean manufacturing

AMIF and AIMEX are providing this seminar free to all members of the marine industry. Tea/coffee will be served from 9.30am and lunch will be served at 1pm.
