Bay and Basin Marine – Evolution Boats on-water test day

St Georges Basin’s Bay and Basin Marine will hold an on-water test day of the Evolution range of fibreglass boats on Sunday 19 April.

To be held at Basin View boat ramp from 9am to 1pm, the public on-water test day follows the marine dealership’s recent appointment as the region’s exclusive agent for the award-winning brand.

Dealer principal Anthony Greed said he was put in touch with Evolution Boats by one of his other marine suppliers.

'I’d read the Evolution 550 Platinum was awarded ‘Boat of the Year, Fishing Trailerable – Fibreglass/GRP Under 6m’ in the 2008 Australian Marine Awards, and was then introduced to the manufacturer, Paul Junginger,' Mr Greed said.

'We thought the range was ideal for us and we also wanted to support an Australian-made company.

'With models ranging 5m to 6.5m, the Evolution range is suited to the two distinct niches in this region – estuary and lake anglers and bluewater game fishers.'

Built by PM Marine Manufacturing in Victoria, Evolution boats are the highest-quality, fibreglass fishing boats in Australia.

The company’s reputation rests on its deep-V / wide reverse chine hull design, which results in an extremely smooth ride while underway and rock solid stability at rest.

There are absolutely no shortcuts during any stage of Evolution Boats’ construction process – all fibreglass is hand-laid for ultimate hull strength – and, as a company owned by serious anglers, all boats incorporate functional fishing-related features that other manufacturers seem to overlook.

Committed to excellence, safety, stability and quality, Evolution Boats enjoys the highest reputation for its unique design, unparalleled performance and matchless construction.

People interested in attending the Evolution Boats on-water test day should register their details with Bay and Basin Marine before Thursday 16 April – (02) 4443 4361.
