New release, 2009 Hooker 6.7mtr Pro Fisherman

by . on 16 Mar 2009
Hooker 6.7 metre SW
It was good before, and the new model just got even better, as the Hooker 6.7 metre Pro Fisherman, has had a complete revamp of the deck. Out with old and in with the new, a fully internal molded deck, with a whole new transom. Port side now sees a transom door with a wet storage compartment on entry, while the starboard side now houses the live bait tank and joined in the mid section with a removable fibreglass bait board.

Large side pockets create storage under each gunwale, and a 150 litre under floor kill pen completes the fishing cockpit just nicely.

With the same large console, there is more than ample room for safety gear and a new molded footrest for comfort. The helm seat is insulated and has very large capacity and is also accompanied with a swing over back rest. The console also boast a large forward eskie which also makeshifts as extra seating, so you can keep an eye on the kiddies whist underway.

And as if two large eskies and a under floor kill pen isn’t enough, there is another monster eskie up front, just behind the dual anchor wells. There is no need to take up any more room with removable eskies, as there is plenty of ice box storage already.

The console is plenty sizable to accommodate all your electronics and is shaded with a stainless steel targa top as standard.

The ride is second to none in rough water, as commercial charter fisherman will tell you. The 6.7metre is very stable at rest and whilst mobile, lands softly due to its fine entry on the hull, gets on the plain effortlessly and the ride is very dry in those windy conditions.

With 400 litre fuel capacity, long haul fishing is an option and you can discover that offshore fishing spot that you have only talked about. The new Hooker 6.7 metre isn’t only just for those serious sports fisherpersons, the whole family will get a rewarding pleasurable lifestyle away from the pressure of today’s society in a Hooker Boat.

The new 09/10 Hooker 6.7mtr Pro Fisherman is now available from your nearest dealer or visit www.hookerboats.com for more information, alternatively ring Hooker Boats on  +617 40417171.

Double Double
And the rest of the line is not toil and trouble, but quadruple, then another double… On the eve of the 100th Fastnet that has attracted some 464 entries, I heard of one entry in this record fleet that seemed so very apt. Not only because it includes the Commodore of the RORC, but because it combines two Brits and two Aussies.
