Adams 10m's want more Audi's

by Adams 10m Association on 3 Mar 2009
Adams 10 Sirius Katie Watt
The Adams 10m Class will be out in force again this weekend at the Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta. After taking home the two Audi cars last year there are a few other Adams 10m owners feeling the need to upgrade their cars to suit the fleet’s car of choice.

The start line will see some fantastic competition with 13 Adam 10’s competing, many capable of winning the regatta. Defending champion Sirius will again line up as always Ben Nossiter and his crew are having a great season and will be a force to reckon with.

Brian Lees and the crew of Contentious won the two previous Audi regatta’s to then take home a car last year thanks to the chook raffle at the presentation night. Another Dilemma with Jim Curtis at the helm will be out to prove a point after a mixed result at this years Nationals Championships however they are without their star skipper Tim Gallego. New Adams 10m Class President Paul Saunders from Let Loose is also a chance on a good day.

The newer boats in the fleet include Rock Solid with a proven team lead by Mitch Miller who will be one to watch as they get their new boat up to speed. It will also be interesting to watch GOGO with Matt Watt at the Helm and Melissa Yeomans leaving Animus on the mooring to do Mainsheet. The latest addition to the fleet is Lumine Lunae heading out to compete in their first regatta and we wish Kim Darling all the best with the brand new boat.
