With businesses in all markets facing unprecedented times as the world economy is in the throes of a nose dive, it is heartening to report a good news story from the Swedish-based company Nexus Marine AB, a global player in the manufacture and distribution of marine navigation products for the yacht racing fraternity.

Nexus has just signed up a new distributor in Australia and SE Asia – the Oceantalk Group. The head of Sales & Marketing at Nexus Marine, Jonas Magnér, comments that the new partnership makes 'absolute sound commercial common sense for Nexus and we are delighted to have the synergistic team at Oceantalk on board with us'.

The Oceantalk Group will celebrate its 20th birthday in June this year and it has established distribution in Australia and in SE Asia.

Oceantalk is located in Sydney, Australia and Singapore. Its customer base includes OEM builders of production and custom craft, retailers and government sectors and its product focus is marine leisure electronics.

Robin Kydd, MD of the Oceantalk Group commented: 'We are convinced that our new association with the NEXUS and SILVA brands will provide growth for the group in challenging times.

'We are all aware the market is not growing and thus to become partners with a company that is growing rapidly and has a wide range of unique, innovative and practical solutions is both a privilege and makes commercial sense. We believe we can duplicate the success NEXUS has had in Grand Prix race boats in other markets in our region.'
