Windsurfer Events at Hayling Island

With the summer long gone and the next one seemingly a long way off Hayling Island SC is opening it’s doors to all windsurfers for a series of great events. The idea is to have some fun style racing in a series format, a one of speed event and also to bring back the Round Hayling Island Race.

For five Sundays during February and March HISC will be running an Open Windsurfing event.

There will be five races on each of these days - starting at 11:00hrs - and would like to encourage all abilities - from Master blaster and Hot Shots to those new to the sport. Bring your kit, come down and have a go.

Dates for the event are - 1, 8, 15, 22 February and 1 March 2009.

Sunday 1 February - Slalom Series Day 1 - Entry £10 or £50 for Series and Speed Event

Sunday 8 February - Slalom Series Day 2 - Entry £10

Sunday 15 February - Slalom Series Day 3 - Entry £10

Sunday 22 Febuary - Slalom Series Day 4 - Entry £10

Sunday 1 March - Slalom Series Day 5 - Entry £10

Speed Event - Date TBA - When wind and tide combine a 24 to 48 hour notice will posted on the HISC website

Friday 10 April - Round the Island Race - Resurrecting a classic

New Caledonian duo set sights on RSHYR

VX One Winter Nationals 2025
