Despite the World’s economic downturn Simpson Marine, the largest yacht broker and dealer in Asia, is confident of a strong Hong Kong International Boat Show with a large number of sizeable yachts on displaying, including models from Azimut, Beneteau, Lagoon, Nautica and Sea Ray.

For the first time in Hong Kong, a luxury Azimut 62S power yacht from the design-house of the world’s largest megayacht builder will be on display at the local boat show and available to view. Simpson Marine, the exclusive dealer for Azimut in Hong Kong, says the striking Azimut 62S is expected to attract a large amount of interest

According to Robin Wyatt, Azimut Brand Manager at Simpson Marine, the 62S is a sport yacht of the Azimut S range with a dual personality, where the sporting drive and freedom usually offered by open boats achieves a perfect balance with the elegance, comfort and privacy typical of flybridge models. The S models are stylish, modern and sporty; and an ideal fit for the local boating environment.'

In addition to the Azimut 62S, Marina Cove will also play host this weekend to another impressive yacht - a sizeable Lagoon 500. Lagoon is the world’s largest manufacturer of multi-hulls and has been in production since 1984. Architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost fitted the Lagoon 500 with the latest developments in naval architecture. James Rayner, Simpson Marine Lagoon Brand Manager, says that the yachts speed and seaworthiness are outstanding. With three interior layouts (3, 4 or 5 double cabins), the Lagoon 500 is also offered with three equipment configuration levels (Essential, Cruising, Comfort).

Sea Ray will display 3 models including the 240DA, 250SLX and 310DA. Mark Woodmansey, Simpson Marine Sea Ray Brand Manager, advises that for over 45 tears Sea Ray has used forward thinking to design some of the best built, most technologically advanced boats in the industry, which has resulted their highest accolades ever - the NMMA Award for highest satisfaction in sports boats.

The Beneteau display will feature a Beneteau Oceanis 46. James Rayner says that the Beneteau Oceanis series is built especially for cruising whilst remaining elegant and performance related. James confirms that the Beneteau Oceanis series has become hugely popular internationally since its launch at the Paris Boat Show 2005.
