This is a Jeppesen Alert on a missing chart on a C-Map MAX chart product. Jeppesen strongly urges affected C-Map Max Customers to update their chartlibrary to the latest version, if planning to navigate in or close to the affected area - North East Australia

This Alert is related to MAX cartridge and MAXonPC CD chart products. It is NOT related to C-Map NT or NT+ products.

To find the code of your cartridge look at the label on the front face of the cartridge - see yellow highlighted area in picture. If you are using MAXonPC charts on CD-Rom run the Selector program and go to the Shopping Cart page to see if you have purchased one of the areas listed above. It has been discovered that the above listed C-MAP Max products do not include Australian HO chart AUS 4620 “Percy Isles to Booby Island inc. Gulf of Papua” which is a small scale 1:1,500,000 chart covering North East Australia – see diagram on next page.

Users should consult with their database update service provider for definitive information on whether their system is affected by this Alert. Additional Information Jeppesen Marine reminds navigators that nautical chart information is constantly changing. National Hydrographic Authorities periodically publish new and updated information. As it is received, Jeppesen Marine incorporates the updated information into new and existing products. These changes are available to our customers for purchase. Therefore, navigators should check their Jeppesen Marine charting products to make sure that they have the most current version available. If your charts are outdated, Jeppesen Marine strongly urges you to update them via Jeppesen Marine directly, or through authorized resellers. Jeppesen electronic charts are an aid to navigation designed to supplement the use of authorized government charts, not to replace them. Only up-to date official government charts and Notices to Mariners contain all the information needed for safe navigation.
