Phuket Marine Guide - 6th edition launched

by Ensign Media on 21 Oct 2008
The guide is a must for travelers and locals. MIAA
The sixth edition of the annual Phuket Marine Guide was launched early October by publishers Ensign Media Co. Ltd.

Conceived in early 2003 with the aim to bridge the gap between general tourist publications on the island and the regional cruising guides available, the Phuket Marine Guide has grown to become a one-stop marine information source for visiting and resident yacht owners and crew.

The 2008/9 season edition has been expanded - with a page increase of 20% and stronger-then-ever advertising support, the publishers bring a new look with more information and more images.

The need-to-know information which has made the guide so successful over the years remains and has been updated, and this year we have developed the refit and repair section – a major part of Phuket’s marine industry which is continuing to grow – and introduced new sections and tips on buying and chartering yachts.

As the number of superyachts arriving in Phuket and using Phuket as a base for extended periods grows, the Phuket Marine Guide has expanded its superyacht section and included snap shots of a few of the superyachts that have recently been been through/are currently berthed in Phuket.

The guide's marina section has also been expanded this year, incorporating new marinas on the island that are now and soon-to-be operational, along with images of the marinas and detailed listings of the businesses located in each marina as of press time.

The colour-coded sections thi year make it easy for readers to find their way around the guide, and the Directory of Services – bigger than ever before – proves to be an invaluable tool.

The Phuket Marine Guide is published annually and is available for free on the island at Immigration, marine businesses and related locations, and an ever-increasing number of non-marine places around the island. It is also distributed at select marine locations and events in the Southeast Asia region.

In addition to the annual Phuket Marine Guide, Ensign Media also publish the monthly Property Report family of publications - Thailand (English), Thailand (Thai) and Singapore-Malaysia-Indonesia (English).

Following the publication of the Phuket Marine Guide, Ensign Media will launch an online marine new and information portal for Thailand in 2009 - www.thailandmarineguide.com.

Ensign Media has offices in Phuket, Bangkok and Singapore.
