Mainship Trawler 40 Mainship http://www.mainship.com.au
If we didn't see you at the recent Sanctuary Cove Boat Show we hope that you'll visit our stand at the Sydney International Boat Show (July 31st to August 5th.)

As you read this we've left the calm waters of Lake Macquarie and are heading into the southerly to Sydney on a beautiful Mainship 40 Trawler, Darling Harbour bound.

We're proud to have an immaculate 40 Trawler on display: read more about this vessel and other Mainships up for sale in our 'Fuel economy trend for Powerboats' story.

It's a job that ranks up there with 'parachute tester' and 'shark wrangler'- read what a Bass Strait boat deliverer has to say about the sea handling properties of a Mainship 34 that has just arrived at the Boat Brokers of Tasmania, in picturesque Oyster Cove Marina, Kettering.

We trace the fascinating history of the Mainship brand in 'Mainship- an international success story'.

Finally there's some great eye candy in the form of boat tests and videos. Watch as a smooth talking American, Captain Bob Smith, puts the 31 Pilot, Expedition Trawler and 45 Pilot through their paces. The good Captain obviously knows his boats and his entertaining video explores all the features of the Mainship range.

Double Double
And the rest of the line is not toil and trouble, but quadruple, then another double… On the eve of the 100th Fastnet that has attracted some 464 entries, I heard of one entry in this record fleet that seemed so very apt. Not only because it includes the Commodore of the RORC, but because it combines two Brits and two Aussies.

Some thoughts on provisioning for distance sailing
A new perspective on provisioning and time spent at sea One of the great joys of distance racing unfurls the moment that the dock lines are untied. Suddenly, the myriad packing lists that inevitably define most trip-planning efforts become about as relevant as a tax return from eight years ago.
