Boating industry stalwarts and leading marine retailers, Leon and Paul Savage, who jointly head Streaker Boats, have seen their company named 2008 Retailer of the Year by the Boating Industry Association of Victoria.

The award, presented at the I C Frith Marine Industry breakfast during the recent Melbourne Boat Show, was presented to Streaker Boats for outstanding achievements in the realm of retail marine products and service.

'We’re delighted to receive the award from the BIA,' co-director Leon Savage said.

'We endeavour to maintain a close relationship with our customers and we believe this has been a key to our success at the retail level.

'Customer feedback has shaped the direction of many of our boat models and we believe that premium customer service is what sets us apart. We view this award as real encouragement for us,' he added.

Visiting Streaker Boats is an experience; a large showroom with friendly staff to greet the customer and a quality display of Streaker, Larson and Quintrex boats, together with Yamaha engines and WaveRunners, backed up by a huge selection of marine accessories

An expansive boat yard surrounds the showroom with a first rate selection of new and used craft on display.

A dedicated marine service centre on a nearby, separate site has trained technicians and the latest diagnostic equipment to effectively service boats and engines with the same professionalism.

Streaker Boats are also manufactured at the nearby production facility, ensuring customers that Streaker quality extends all the way, from hull and deck construction to fit out to factory rigging of engine and accessories

In addition to its BIA Victoria award, Streaker Boats also became the first Victorian dealership to be awarded ‘Platinum’ status by Yamaha Motor Australia..
