Top Gun dominates day 1 of Australian Womens Keel

by Stuart Addison on 7 Jun 2008
Did we get them? - "Yes, Yes you did" - exciting stuff - Australian Womens Keelboat Regatta David Johnson
Racing kicked off today with two races in light and choppy conditions off St Kilda in the Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta. .

The day belonged to Top Gun III (Adams 10) skippered by Cath Beaufort (RVYC) and helmed by Anne Antrecht (RMYS). The team recorded wins on line Honours and IRC in both races (race 1 by only two seconds in a late-passing move), a first and third on AMS and a first and third on PHD.

The crew were understandably happy with their results and looking forward to maintaining their form going into tomorrow's two races.

With a little more breeze (and possibly a few sore heads) tomorrow there are two races scheduled starting at 10:00hrs.
