A 17 strong fleet of Seawind catamarans are arriving in Shute Harbour in preparation for the 2nd Seawind Whitsunday Rally which begins this weekend. With 17 Seawind cats entered with 75 crew members, the fleet will sail from one end to the other of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands, starting from the Whitsunday Rent A Yacht base in Shute Harbour on Sunday.

There are six social races planned with parties on most days at Long Island, Hamilton Island, Shaw Island, South Molle Island, and a Beach BBQ Party with Whitsunday Private Yacht Charters on Whitehaven Beach during the week.

There are boats that have sailed from as far as Sydney and Brisbane just for the event, along with a handful of local charter boats as well, several of which have been chartered by international crew flying in especially from the USA and New Zealand to enjoy a week of sailing amongst the Seawind family.

The growth of the Seawind brand around the world has meant the Seawind community of owners is growing rapidly.

With a 40% increase in entries, this year’s Whitsunday Rally is part of the Seawind Cruising Club Series which encompasses regattas and rallies hosted by Seawind Catamarans all around Australia and the USA.

The next event as part of the Seawind Cruising Club Series is the rally on Catalina Island, off the coast of California, USA in August.
