His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, visits X-Yachts and the Xc 45, hull No 1 - the first yacht in a new line of long distance cruisers has its World Premiere.

The Danish yachting company, located in the small town Haderslev in the southern part of Denmark, has since 1979 positioned its brand name within high class sailing yachts on the international scene.

For almost 30 years the yard is known for its very fast and well-designed racing and performance cruisers and X-Yachts is now ready to take another huge step with the launch of a complete new generation of long distance cruisers.

As a dedicated yachtsman His Royal Highness has decided to visit the yard on the 17 June for a presentation of the production facilities and a selected number of yachts from the X-Yachts range.

The highlight of the event will be an official presentation and launch of the Xc 45, for the first time shown to the public and presented by the three owners of X-Yachts.

The visit of His Royal Highness will be followed by days of test sailing on the 18, 19, 20, 26 and 27 June for selected members of the press. One month later an international launch in Copenhagen will take place during the X-Yachts Gold Cup 2008 from 16 to the 19 July.

Marketing Director at X-Yachts, Steen-Flemming Elmarlund says: 'The Xc 45 is an important step towards a complete range of yachts covering all needs. Especially, this new range will give dedicated yachtsmen, their crews and families the optimum conditions for a comfortable, fast and safe cruise to destinations a bit further. We are looking forward to welcome His Royal Highness at our yard and proud to let him board the first result of our endeavors.'
