Queenslanders shopping for a new yacht will be happy to know that Elan Yachts - those sleek multi-award winning yachts that have been wowing owners and admirers for the last few years - will be available locally. From now on you will be able to talk to Farine Boat Sales, who are based in Brisbane, about your potential new purchase.
Anita Farine heads the newly appointed company and has a long established history of running highly successful brokerages throughout the state. It's a good time for the appointment, as the Impression range of Elan yachts will be on display for the first time at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in May this year.
The Australian importers and distributors of Elan Yachts, Navsail based in Pittwater in Sydney, announced the appointment. Navsail already has a well established Victorian Agent in Melbourne .
'Anita’s goal is always to find the right boat for the right person which builds a continuing loyal and trusting broad client base. Also she has experienced some wonderful years of world cruising and is very much in tune with what is needed in the way of boats for pleasant and safe sea passages' reports Navsail’s director, Rod Parry.
'I’m really excited about offering the Queensland market the award winning Elan range of yachts with their well known club racers, and of course the Elan Impression Cruising range. Their overall design and construction is
exceptional.' Anita adds.
Farine Boat Sales sees excellent potential in their northern market particularly for the Impression Cruising range. The boats are fast passagemakers and at the same time are perfectly suited for families to enjoy their time on the water with the ease of handling as well as taking in the pleasures of the spacious design comforts below decks.
And why HAVE the Elan yachts been so popular? Navsail explains it this way:
Elan designer Rob Humphreys’ brings all elements intrinsically together in a masterful manner whereby the boat’s sailing ability, performance, responsive handling, stability and seaworthiness especially for offshore combine so well with the fine spacious living quarters and not at the expense of the other.
Having the peace of mind with reassurance in the construction of your boat on the water is important to sailor and family and the Elan range of yachts provide this with their exceptional seaworthiness, superior hull, keel and rudder construction and individual certification by Germanischer Lloyd
In the last couple of years alone Elan Marine has collected many awards for these very reasons, including the coveted European Yacht of the Year for 2006 and 2007 in the 10m range for their Impression 344 and Elan 340 respectively with two additional models, the Impression 514 (over 14m) and Elan 410 (under 14m) nominated for the same award for 2008. These particular awards carry significant weight due to their rigorous judging and sea trial criteria.
Elan’s Performance Cruiser models range from 31 ft to the spectacular new 450 with twin rudder system and a 380 model due for release in May. These boats are true to their name and deliver the true spirit of sailing as dual purposed boats with impressive proven results on the water as well as superb cruising comforts.
The Impression cruising range comprises of 344, 384 434 and the prestigious 514 flagship which is a model completely in its own league. The Impression 434 was the first model to be released in this range and continues to prove to be a very popular model not only in and around the Mediterranean and Adriatic but also this side of the hemisphere in Australia and New Zealand.
