These are the final results for the 72nd Boston Dinghy Club Challenge Cup held at MIT/Harvard March 22-23, 2008

Regatta Highlights:
The Bulldogs from Yale are held onto their lead over St Marys, MIT, BU and the Crimson in a tightly fought contest on the Charles River.

Saturday Fourteen races were completed in three divisions of FJs in a gnarly west, northwest breeze from 12-22 knots in low 40 degree temps.

Sunday brought more fickle 5-10 knot breezes from the same direction with temps in the upper 30s. Not a single protest was heard and a couple of breakdown scores were awarded.

B Division sailed in Harvard's FJs with Bern Noack on RC assisted by Alan Palmer and Winston Yam. Harvard's John Stokes updated the scoring program on Saturday and Alex Bick finished it out on Sunday. Fran Charles managed the other race course with A sailing BU's boats and C Division in MIT's colored FJs. BU sailing team members Ben Greenfield and Amanda Johnson weathered the cold in the aluminum finish boat on Saturday and they were replaced by Brandeis coach Tom Robinson along with Brenna Malloy. Harvard sailors Allan Palmer, Lauren Brants, and Grace Charles did RC duty and organized boat launching and retrieval.

Extra thanks go out to our generous judges Clay Johnson, Matt Knowles, Peter Johns and John Pratt for giving up their time to serve the sport.
