During the Boot 2008, (Düsseldorf Boat Show), the Pershing 72’ was awarded the title of “European Powerboat of the Year 2008” (in the category over 50 foot). The entrants were judged by a jury of European powerboat magazines chief editors and professional test drivers, repeating the success of the Pershing 62’ in 2005.

The selection was made from 90 European powerboats launched in the previous year in four different categories of length. Safety, workmanship, driving characteristics, handling performance, room layout, price/performance ratio and design were the important elements.

The Pershing 72’ is pure innovation, in which the painstaking attention paid to design, a high level of technology and a revolutionary interior layout have completely changed the concept of life at sea.

With a radically new hull profile, fruit of the creativeness of yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, and consultation with the Chairman of Pershing Tilli Antonelli, Pershing 72’ presents herself as a forerunner from every point of view.

Advanced technology is paramount on this new model, starting with the exclusive glass partition between cockpit and upper salon which slides away making it possible to transform the interior and exterior into a single area.

The sleeping quarters are split into three cabins and three bathrooms. The stand out is the sophisticated comfort of the full beam master cabin, which is amazingly bright and sunny thanks to two special open-view windows offering spectacular sea views. The guest cabin has twin single beds and a third stowaway berth and a VIP cabin with one large bed and an en-suite bathroom.

The crew are also looked after with a small living room and a cabin with two beds.

The furnishings and finishes, the seating and leather ceiling panels were all designed in partnership with prestigious company Poltrona Frau.

For a fast run into shore for a picnic in that special place only you know about, the garage has an area that can be lowered into the water which can store both a tender, and a jet ski.

With twin 1823 hp MTU Common Rail engines combined with an Arneson drive, the Pershing 72 can reach speeds of up to 45 knots, and not spill your champagne.
