Largest luxury boating network comes to Melbourne

by Denby Browning on 24 Jan 2008
Steering a steady course - R Marine Jacksons VIC Dealer Principal Stuart Jackson and Riviera’s Managing Director, R Marine, Tim Sayer discuss the future for Melbourne boating. SW

Australia’s largest luxury boating retail network, R Marine, has expanded to Melbourne with an agreement between luxury boat builder Riviera and leading Dealership Jacksons Marine based in Sandringham.

Rebranded as R Marine Jacksons VIC, the Dealership joins a network of thirteen R Marine Dealers that stretches from Auckland in New Zealand to Fremantle in Western Australia and as far north as Airlie Beach in Queensland.

Stuart and Robert Jackson, Principals at R Marine Jacksons VIC said: “We are delighted to be joining the incredible strength of the R Marine network. Our company has represented Riviera in Victoria for 18 years and this development will further strengthen our ability to support our clients throughout Victoria.

“We will be able to offer our clients the complete range of Riviera models, from Flybridge and Sport Yachts to Sport Cruisers and the new Offshore Express line. We will also be the exclusive representative of R Marine’s Princess and Grand Banks brands in Victoria.”

According to Tim Sayer, Managing Director, R Marine: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart and Robert and their dedicated team to the R Marine network.

“Jacksons Marine is a third generation family business that opened its doors in the 1950s. Stuart and Robert are widely known in Victoria for their integrity, their passion for boating and their attention to their customers’ needs, and this will help us to deliver on Riviera’s promise to create the best possible boating experience for our clients.

In addition to Stuart and Robert, every member of the Jacksons’ sales and support team is hand-picked as the best in the business.

“R Marine is dedicated to making boat ownership a fun, exciting and pleasurable experience from the moment you decide to look at one of our boats through the actual purchase and throughout your time as a boat owner,” said Sayer.

“This includes working with you to ensure you invest in the boat that best suits your lifestyle and boating intentions and training you and your family to operate your boat with total confidence. The professionalism of our hand-over process is matched by unrivalled after-sale dealership support including our unique 24-hour on-water assist program.

“For those owners who enjoy meeting and socialising with other boat enthusiasts, R Marine Jacksons VIC has a program of on-water and off-water events and VIP invitations to Owners Clubs at Boat Shows. Owners are kept informed about what is happening in the Riviera world through subscription to the exclusive Riviera The Magazine.

“And when owners take their boats beyond Port Phillip Bay and Victorian waters, they can rely on the support of R Marine Dealers along the coast and the backing of Riviera – a $360 million plus company.”

R Marine Dealers are in the following locations: Queensland – Coomera, Runaway Bay, Airlie Beach; New South Wales - Rushcutters Bay, Mosman, Newport, Port Stephens; Victoria – Sandringham; South Australia – Glenelg; Western Australia – Fremantle; New Zealand – Auckland.
