Last week Powerboat-World advised of a unique opportunity for Sydneysiders to try their hand at recreational boating courtesy of Stacer dealers.

The cross city event was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 3, but has now been expanded to take in both days of the weekend of November 17 and 18.

Two Sydney dealerships are involved, Andrew Short Marine, the Huett Marine Centre.

Each will be at different locations; Andrew Short Marine on Sydney Harbour, Port Hacking, Georges River and Pittwater, and Huett Marine at Parsley Bay, Brooklyn.

'Both dealers are excited at the prospect of meeting prospective buyers and we believe this to be the first powerboat event of its type staged,' Jason Parker, Stacer sales and marketing manager, said.

'We have designed the weekend to give customers the opportunity to test boats and draw on the experience and knowledge of the Stacer dealer network.

'Coming along to the weekend is as simple as logging on to www.tryboating.com.au , registering and then choosing the boats you would like to try,' he explained.

Supported by the Boating Industry Association of NSW, the weekend is a Stacer initiative and a full range of Stacer boats will be available at all locations.

'Boating is a lifestyle the entire family can enjoy and by coordinating this event we want people to come and experience it for themselves and discover just how easy it can be to get into boating,' Jason Parker added.

To register, log on to www.tryboating.com.au and follow the prompts.
