Tangaroa, Bavaria 33, ready to launch in the Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Jane Pares - IMB
Manfred and Ingrid Lange’s three young sons can’t wait to get out on the water in their new Bavaria 33 Cruiser, Tangaroa, God of the Sea.
Launched on Manfred’s birthday, 18 October, the yacht has been well equipped for charter and will join the expanding Bavaria fleet at CharterLink in Bayswater, Auckland.
Manfred has already booked her out for the Annual Bavaria Regatta in late March 08, when the fleet races up to Kawau Island for fun and games over the weekend. After a highly successful Pirates of the Hauraki Gulf this year the theme for next year’s is Vikings.
The Lange’s have been careful to set her up with a very integrated Raymarine electronics package including autopilot, chartplotter with laptop compatibility, radar and VHF. She also has a Raymarine Man-over-board system with 6 individual controllers. The Langes aren’t taking any chances with 3 young boys onboard.
She’s the third B33 Cruiser in New Zealand and will be the last, as the B33 has now been replaced by the beautiful new B34. The first of which is due in to NZ in early November.
