Sail-World Cruising Editor Nancy Knudsen and her husband Ted are sailing their Petersen 46 from Fiji to Vanuatu
Having left Fiji with a weather forecast of 10-15 knots, Blackwattle and her crew were experiencing gusts in to the high 40's in just a few hours.
Now its eases to 20 knots under bright blue skies, but Nancy asks, as the weather in 2007 has just not been as the brochures suggest, maybe its El Nino and la Nina or Global warming - but will the cruising guide books have to be re-written.
