Global Yacht Racing crew kit list from Slam

by Claire Kennard on 12 Sep 2007
The amount of kit that crew bring onboard a race boat is often a contentious issue which is sure to drive the skipper into an apoplexy!

When your kit list is as restricted as the Global Yacht Racing one you need to ensure that you have good quality gear which won’t let you down – space is limited on board and every item must be essential. That is why Global Yacht Racing has recently partnered with SLAM to supply all their crews with top quality technical and shoreside clothing.

In addition, Global Yacht Racing has recently been appointed as a Slam distributor and can now offer top quality sailing gear to its customers at competitive prices. Global Yacht Racing trains amateur crews in worldwide yacht races and regattas and when you take part in a lot of offshore racing you tend to get very particular about the gear that you take. Andy Middleton Global Yacht Racing director has done his time in wet foulies and is delighted to be aligned with SLAM. 'The SLAM stuff is excellent, really well put together and I am really happy that we can offer it to our crews, on a tough offshore race the last thing you want to be worrying about is whether your foulies are leaking!'

To enquire about getting your SLAM kit for your next race event call +44(0)1983299736 or visit www.globalyachtracing.com

Global Yacht Racing trains teams of ordinary individuals to race in worldwide yacht racing events and regattas including Skandia Cowes Week, Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race, Rolex Fastnet Race, Rolex Middle Sea Race and the ARC race.
