by Hong Kong Sailing Federation on 27 Jun 2007
Hong Kong International Open Dinghy Regatta, 29 Sep-01 Oct 2007

The Hong Kong Sailing Federation (HKSF) is pleased to invite entries from local and overseas dinghy sailors to compete in this three-day
event. Subject to entries, racing will be provided for the following popular classes of mono-hull centerboard dinghy: Enterprise, 505, 420, 470, 29er, 49er, Laser (various), Wanderer and Optimist.

Except for the Optimist and Topper Class, all classes will race in an Open Dinghy Division with race results calculated under the Portsmouth Yardstick handicapping system, and with fleet results for any class that has six or more entries. Optimist and Topper class boats will each have a separate start and race on a (separate) shorter course set within that for the main fleet.

Loaner boats, primarily 420s and Optimists, will be made available free of charge to overseas entrants by HKSF, provided that a Liability for Damage Undertaking is signed prior to the event by the entrant or his/her parent in the case of a minor. The Undertakings will be invoked only in respect of cases of serious damage to a boat and/or its rigging which results from abuse or careless/ reckless misuse by the loanee.

If so desired, overseas entrants may bring and use their own sails.
