Alinghi rounds the windward mark in Louis Vuitton Act 13 ACM 2007/Carlo Borlenghi

Big Boats, Big Teams, Big Egos and Boat Loads of Cash - Yes the America's Cup is just about underway and you can compete. Just as we did with the Super 14 and the ICC Cricket World Cup, Auckland based software development company, Sandfield, have built an America's Cup online picking competition using On Game. It's a fun thing - nothing too serious.

Register to play now on the link: www.sandfield.co.nz/AmericasCup/

The first rounds of the LV Cup starts on the Monday the 16th of April (so sign up NOW) and runs through to the 12th of June while the America's Cup proper starts on the 23rd June and runs through to 3rd July.

As usual you can play alone against other On Gamers, or if you want to compete against your mates, all you need do is put the same company/team name in e.g. Dargaville Yacht Club (or you can shorten it to DYC) when you register.

Lovers of competition that we are, Sandfield are supplying some sensational prizes.

First prize is a custom made remote controlled yacht. Grant McKinnon (Grunta) at Wind Warriors Model Yachts is supplying his latest G3 racer, which is the NZL84 of remote controlled yachts.

Many more prizes are coming. In fact if you're business wants to put a prize up, let us know.

So let your friends / family / work mates / club mates know and start enjoying the America's Cup racing using On Game from Sandfield.

Racing starts Monday so get in to win.

We will send out our regular updates on placings and racing throughout the series.

Here's episode one:

Emirates Team NZ are looking good having won the first acts, and take four bonus points with them into the Round Robin portion of the Louis Vuitton Cup. With four bonus points, Team New Zealand starts the Louis Vuitton Cup with the equivalent of two race wins, potentially extremely valuable at the end of the Round Robin stage when it comes to determining who advances to the Louis Vuitton Cup Semi Finals......However this is when it starts getting really tough, particularly with the alleged minnows doing surprisingly well in the previous rounds - anything could happen! Insider info will follow...

**Tip when signing up - if you want to compete against your mates make sure you all put the same company/team name. Come one come all, me hearties!

To sign up go to: www.sandfield.co.nz/AmericasCup/

However you do need to be NZ resident to elegible for prizes.

Thanks to the superb support from Wind Warrior YachtsLine 7 and Boating NZ , On Game has the following prizes:
