Argentina dominate 29er Worlds with top seven

The Argentine pair, Matías Gainza Eurnekian and Federico Villambrosa have won the 29er World Championship held at the Club Náutico de San Isidro, Argentina.

Second were Pepe Bettini and Matías Keller (ARG) and third were Ignacio Fernández Besada and Tigris Martirosjan (ARG). The top seven places went to teams from Argentina.

Britain's Sophie Weguelin and Sophie Ainsworth were 8th overall, highest placed GBR and the winners of the women's event. Second place went to Sarah Martin and Nicola Groves (GBR) who were 14th in the overall event classification.

Nathalie Keller and Irina Hotz from Switzerland won the Silver fleet event. Second were Emily Dellenbaugh and Briana Provancha (USA) and third María Agustina Torre and Franco Greggi (ARG).
