29er Worlds 2007 qualifying 29er
With promises for more breeze, the sailors eagerly left the shore today. But they were again disappointed with two races in the 5 to 8 knot range, a wait as the wind dropped, and the last two races sailed in a building sea breeze with 10-12 knots.

Matias Gainza and Federico Villambrosa (ARG) are the overall leaders after eight races. Pepe Bettini and Matias Keller (ARG) remain in second with Francsco Piccini and Santiago Deneri (ARG) in third.

In fifth overall are the British pair of Huw Humphreys and Max Todd who also notched up their first race win.

Leading female team are Adela Deschamps of Argentina, with crew 470 Olympian Juan de la Fuente in seventh and then the British pair, Sophie Wegelin and Sophie Ainsworth in ninth overall.

Other leading GBR crews are in tenth James Peters and Oliver Spensley, and James Ellis and Rob Partridge eleventh.

More races are scheduled for tomorrow.
