Richard and John Power won the 470 Masters World Championship sailed in Alexandroupolis, Greece from the 7th - 11th August.

There where 18 boats in total and the Power brothers were were the only Southern Hemisphere team.

Eleven races sailed with two discards. After four days racing in conditions varying from 5knots to 18knots they came away with the Masters title.

'We are very pleased with the results and hope to go back to Europe next year to defend our title', John Power told Sail-World. 'This will of course depend on whether we can raise the funds required', he added.
