Guy and Clark Holbert's little Mumm 30, Rumbo is the clear leader in the Performance Handicap Class after Race 7, today's Whitehaven Race at the 23rd annual Hahn Premium Hamilton island Race Week.

Brothers Clark and Guy Holbert bought the champion Mumm 30 Breakout in 2005 and revamped and re-named her.

After much success with their previous yacht, the tiny purpose built JOG boat Gingerbread Man, the Port Stephens crew were looking to better their fourth place at the Mumm 30 Nationals in 2006.

Rumbo is being campaigned at Hamilton Island Race Week by a very experienced crew, including Dennis Hume navigating and Mick Hinchey calling tactics.

With her worst handicap placing a fourth and with four bullets and a second, there's a big gap between her and the rest of the fleet. At this point, the crew certainly look like achieving their Hamilton Island target.

In second place on handicap is Western Australian John Moore's Swarbrick 10.2, Without Fear, just one series point clear of Geoff Lavis' Inglis/Murray 50, UBS Wild Thing.
