All the members of the Lion Foundation Youth Training Programme attend the North Sails Race Clinic, hosted by Bill Gladstone last weekend.  It was an awesome weekend and everyone learned a lot from Bill!

Improve your knowledge
COASTGUARD Marine Medic Course Hosted by Yacht lifeline Ltd.
This weekend course trains commercial/pleasure craft users in the applied first response and medical procedures. This is a hands-on course which teaches candidates the ability to sustain and treat a casualty for up to 18-24 hours with very little medical equipment.

Both the Coastal & Offshore Medic courses are MSA certified, meet with the requirement of MCA and the Coastal is NZQA accredited. Combined, the Coastal and Offshore certificates with a further short correspondence course are the equivalent of the STCW95 certified First Aid at Sea Course, for the purpose of attending the higher level STCW95 certified Ship Masters Medical Course that is required for commercial skippers.
