Oceantalk Australia, will again be exhibiting their range of Raymarine Electronics, Tacktick Wireless and Solar powered instruments, MaxPower bow and stern thrusters, Comar AIS systems and Oceantalk Super digi TV tuner at the Sydney Boat Show.

The Raytalk and Oceantalk stands will be on one combined stand in Hall 4 stand number 408 and we look forward to seeing you there. Here’s a sneak preview of whats in store for 2006!!

Among some of the new products to be seen at the show from Raymarine, will be the Lifetag wireless MOB system.

Capable of keeping watch on up to 16 crew members, an alarm will be activated as soon as someone moves out of range of the transmitter, sending all important information, back to the Raymarine instrumentation on board. The MOB pendant itself is compact & lightweight, making it easy to wear for all crew members.

Another relatively new product from Raymarine on display at the show will be the A65 combination Chart plotter / sounder. Utilizing Raymarines’ groundbreaking digital sounder technology & with Navionics gold cartography, the A65 is a powerful, but economical solution for the serious weekend fisherman.

Tacktick have released some new & exciting products to the market in recent months. One such product is the wireless full function remote. The remote is not only capable of controlling all new Tacktick displays on board, but its dot matrix screen allows numerous combinations of data to be displayed at any one time, making it a useful tool for tacticians, navigators & skippers alike.

Also new from Tacktick is the mast rotation device. The device calculates the rotation of the mast thereby giving accurate wind direction readings on multihulls & yachts with rotating masts.

Comar AIS (Automatic Identification System) is a new products to the Oceantalk range. The SLR200 model can receive all AIS data transmitted from ships & display this data on Raymarine C & E series displays and other AIS compatible devices. Soon to be released from Comar will be the CSB200 – an AIS transmit & receive unit, broadcasting your AIS data (position, name, call sign etc.) to surrounding boats while allowing you to receive their AIS signal.

Comar and Oceantalk are bringing big ship capabilities to the recreational boater resulting in greater margins of safety and peace of mind.

MaxPower will display their innovative new compact retract thruster. A retractable thruster designed for sailing yachts in the 37 – 45 ft range that want an effective retractable thruster solution for their shallow bowed sailing boats. The unit can easily fit under a v-berth whilst overcoming problems of immersion depth and tunnel location common to many production yachts. Definitely a unique thruster solution offering ease of manoeuvring in all conditions.

The above products and many more will be on display at the Oceantalk stand 408 in hall 4 of the main convention centre.
