Musto expands in Australia

A new era has dawned in Australia for Musto. Traditionally known for its sailing range, Musto will now launch all its other ranges including Casual wear and Equestrian, Shooting and Country Collections.

Although now parting, Musto have enjoyed a very strong relationship with their distributor Line 7 over many years and would like to thank them for their help and support in getting Musto so well established in the yachting sector.

Musto Australasia’s new CEO, David Oliver, is a successful businessman, and a keen yachtsman having competed in several Sydney to Hobart races as Crew Manager for Hardy’s Secret Men’s Business. He is passionate about the brand and excited about the potential to provide high quality clothing into these various markets.

The recent appointment of Duncan Curnow as Managing Director provides Musto Australasia with a vast amount of industry experience and knowledge. Duncan is very well known and respected in marine and fashion markets.

Musto hit the Australasian shores back in 1985, but has been around since 1965 when English Olympic Sailor Keith Musto (founder) started the company making marine accessories from his garage. His son Nigel, now has the reins and from their Head Office in Essex, England distribute to over 25 countries globally.

Apart from many other accolades Musto outfit some of the best yachts and sailors in the world including the World’s fastest solo sailor, Dame Ellen MacArthur, Mike Golding and outfitted 6 out of 7 of the Volvo Ocean Race Yachts, including ABN AMBRO One, the winning boat.
