88 competitors from 19 nations entered this event, including the 2005 Speed World Champion Bjorn Dunkerbeck (AND, T1, North), World Record Holder Finian Maynard (BVI, F2) and the 2005 winner and record holder Karin Jaggi (SUI, F2, North).

The competition starts tomorrow with the first skippersmeeting held at 10:00 hours at the beach of Fuerteventura.
