As Gipsy Moth IV prepared to re-inact her entry to Sydney Harbour of 40 years ago, the BMW Sydney Winter series fleet enjoyed a perfect winter Sunday.
Sir Francis Chichester sailed Gipsy Moth IV into Sydney Harbour for repairs, 107 days after leaving Britain in 1966. After a stay of some months, he then sailed her back to England and entered the history books as the first solo sailor to cirumnavigate the world with just a single stop.
As always, Sydney Yachting photographer Andrea Francolini finds more and different views of life on Sydney Harbour. More of his images can be found at www.afrancolini.com
