420 Worlds and Junior Euros Selector Series

James and Dan Ellis of Royal Plymouth Corinthian YC won the third Selector at Hayling Island SC, a 3-day event, culminating in some great sailing conditions in the two races on Sunday.

Neil Marsden and Christian Birrell were second, Richard Mason & Daniel Schieber, the winners of the Selector Series, were third and Sophie Weguelin and Katrina Hughes were fourth.

At the prizegiving, Neil Marsden paid tribute, for the excellent event, to the efforts of Paul Maxfield and the Race Committee, Nigel Ellis and the Safety Team and to all the Shore officials, as well thanking the Commodore and all the staff and members of Hayling Island Sailing Club for their hospitality and support.

In the overall Worlds and Junior Euros Selector Series:

Richard Mason and Daniel Schieber achieved first place over the three-event, 17 race Worlds and Junior Euros Selector Series at Hayling Island SC with a 25 point lead.

James and Dan Ellis had a great series to take second and Neil Marsden and Christian Birrell were third. Sophie Weguelin and Katrina Hughes led the women and were fourth overall, Charlotte Lawrence and Poppy Husband were second women, and Sophie Ainsworth and Jasmine Husband third.
