Following her capsize, breakup and reconstruction, Médiatis Région Aquitaine came to spend the last weekend in Bordeaux for the great interest of the curious strollers, who were able to see evolving the 60 foot sailboat along the quays.
The catamaran went upstream the river since Port-Médoc where it made the phase II of settling and trainings of its program Step by Step.
To navigate a river is an exercise different from the navigation in open sea. The current, the numerous floating objects are so many parameters which force to a certain mastery of the boat.
Yves Parlier and his crew thus manoeuvred with caution, allowing itself however thanks to the wind of Saturday of small points of speed close to 25 knots.
The hydraplaneur left the Pontoon Yves Parlier on the right bank of Bordeaux yesterday morning to reunite again the Verdon sur Mer.
Even some days with Port-Médoc and Médiatis Région Aquitaine will be escorted up to its port of registry to Arcachon, where will be finalized the preparation for its departure for the Canaries Islands.
