Until February 12th Cruz Galleries at Waterfront City, together with sponsor Skandia, present a spectacular exhibition entitled 'five' by celebrated marine photographer Andrea Francolini.

Italian-born Francolini, has been living and working in Australia since 2000 and has a reputation for getting up close and personal with his subject matter, ensuring that he always delivers highly creative images. Over 50 magazine covers since 2000 attest to the impact his images have created throughout the years.

Back in Sydney after the arrival of the Volvo fleet and Skandia Geelong Week, Francolini commented today. ‘I’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response to my first solo exhibition in Australia.’ It’s been a great opportunity to stage the exhibition during such an important international event, the Melbourne Stop-over for the 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean race. ‘

Renowned for seeking new techniques and angles to capture the imagination of his audience in Australia and worldwide, Francolini’s passion and respect for yachting and the ocean is evident in the images in this exhibition.

Five by Andrea Francolini will be exhibited at Cruz Galleries at Waterfront City from 16 January to 12 February 2006. Gallery hrs 10am-5pm daily

Fortune favours the Beneteaus!
Thank you, Huey… Some sun, and a tad of wind means it is time to go racing... Ahead of the annual Beneteau Pittwater Regatta by Flagstaff Marine the weather had not been all that grand. So, peaks of sun migrating to distinct patches, and the occasional zephyr turning into a waft, then on to a calm breeze was fortunate.
