Superyacht Solutions anticipates large investment

by IBI Magazine on 14 Dec 2005
Superyacht Solutions, which claims to be one of the largest yacht painting contractors in Australasia, has announced that it is within weeks of closing a new deal valued at around AUS$200 million to the Australian marine industry.

According to a company statement, the agreement will bring together a number of high-profile European clients and leading figures from within the Australian marine industry to oversee the construction of large motoryachts unlike anything ever before seen in the region.

’In concert with the principal players we look forward to making official some exciting announcements over coming weeks,’ says director Steve Wicks. ‘This will undoubtedly be the largest single development in the history of yacht-building in this country. Should it become the enduring success we expect, it will put Australia back on the superyacht-building map, bigger and better than ever. Ultimately, this should generate billions in export income for Australian industry.’

Founded in 1998 as a result of a merger between Davencourt Pty Ltd and International Marine Applicators Pty Ltd, Superyacht Solutions has faired and finished more than 250 major new-builds and refinished well over 1,000 yachts and boats of every description. The company is based in Coomera, Queensland.
