2016 RS Aero Baltic Cup Stage 2 at the RS Sailors Estonia

The RS Aero Baltic Cup visited Tallinn, Estoniaover the weekend 15-17 July. The event was hosted at the RS Sailors Estonia base and 1980 Olympic Venue in Piritawith racing run by Tallinna Kalevi Yacht Club.

International visitors from Lithuania, Latvia and the Netherlands joined the large Estonian fleet for some great racing with 17 RS Aeros enjoying wind, waves and sun.



On Friday everyone participated in the Tallinn Maritime Days maritime parade. The ground program was super, thanks RS Café /AirijaOliverile, who organised Saturday evening's cool Laser + Aero after sail event.

The next stage of the RS Aero Baltic Cup is on Latvia’s beautiful coastline of Jurmala on 12-14 August

The Estonian fleet have been sailing their RS Aeroshard all summer now. For the past two months they have run dedicated RS Aero racing every Tuesday evening with good numbers attending for several short races on an informal delayed start pursuit race between the different sized rigs.



The sailors have rotated the available boats reaching a wide selection of competitors including guest appearances from two of Estonia’s Olympic team enjoying the Tuesday Aero racing in their final stages of training for Rio; Deniss Karpak from the Finn Class and Karl-Martin Rammoin the Laser Class

This week the Estonian fleet loads up as their large team of 8 sailors travels to the opposite end of the Baltic Sea for the RS Aero Class’ first European Championships at Travemunder, Germany were 55 sailors from 10 countries are already registered.
