The world’s largest producer of inboard ski, wakeboard and luxury performance powerboats is set unveil two exciting new designs for the first time in Australia, exclusively at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo from May 19-22.

The new X26 and NX7 Global Edition wake boats from US-based watersports boat-builder MasterCraft are among a very impressive catalogue of Premieres spanning luxury yachts, boats and nautical products for ‘the boat show with so much more’.

Event and Marketing Manager Emma Brown said many of Expo’s growing list of Premieres will be shown for the first time in Australia, and some for the first time in the world.

“The fact so many of the leading boating brands and businesses had reserved the Expo dates for their latest releases ensures an incredible experience for Expo visitors,” she said.

Over 500 yachts and boats will be showcased throughout the Expo’s 3km display circuit in 2016 and on the water across the two Expo marinas at Coomera, and at Marina Mirage in Main Beach.

“That’s in addition to over 230 marine Expo displays featuring everything from tenders and jet skis to kayaks and fishing equipment, engines and a massive showcase of accessories,” said Mrs Brown.

“If you love boating, the Gold Coast is certainly the place to be from 19-22 May'.

Masterpieces from MasterCraft

MasterCraft’s Australian general manager Ronnie Arenson said the tournament-capable MasterCraft X26 is the biggest wake boat on the market at 26 feet and delivers a category-defining balance of power, luxury and playfulness.

“With enough room for 18 people, a wet bar with refrigerator, separate head and a bow jet thruster, there’s no industry precedent for the X26’s high level of craftsmanship and luxury,” he said.

The new MasterCraft NX7 Global Edition bow-rider is where the marque’s legendary watersports performance meets outboard propulsion, and Mr Arenson said it starts with one of the best crossover hulls ever built.

“By coupling a Mercury 225 Verado engine on the transom and introducing a new coastal deck layout, the NX7 transforms the very popular NXT20 into a versatile all-day boat that can accommodate up to 13 people,” he said.

MasterCraft sells boats in over 30 countries and has over 130 dealers throughout the world.

Experience the new ‘I Love Quintrex Island’

Expo visitors are invited to register for an exclusive I Love Quintrex Island experience – proudly presented Surf Coast Marine and Broadwater Boating Centre.

“We’re inviting people to register now here to test-drive the latest releases from leading boating brands Quintrex and Cruise Craft, and engine manufacturers Yamaha, Suzuki and Evinrude,” said Surf Coast Marine’s Paul Banning.

“To complete the VIP experience, registered guests will be chauffeur-driven from the Expo welcome gates in a luxury six-seater golf buggy for express transit direct to ‘I Love Quintrex Island’.”

Expo Event and Marketing Manager Emma Brown said the island experience will add something special to the overall Expo experience, and thanked Surf Coast Marine and Broadwater Boating Centre for their continued support of ‘the boat show with so much more’.

Win a $40,000 family boating package

“Visitors to the biggest-ever Expo in 2016 have the chance to win our biggest-ever boating prize – a $40,000 family boating package – thanks to the support of Surf Coast Marine and Broadwater Boating Centre,” said Mrs Brown.

“Simply visit the website to purchase your tickets and you could win this ready-to-launch prize package of a 2016 Quintrex 490 Cruiseabout, a full range of accessories including safety pack, an aluminium boat trailer and all applicable registrations.”

So much family fun

Mrs Brown said Expo 2016 will offer factory tours of the biggest recreational shipyards and boat-builders in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as fun for the whole family.

“We will have live entertainment and interactive demonstrations every 15 minutes … on the water, on land and even in the air,” she said.

“There will be so much to see and do that visitors will definitely need a multi-day pass to experience everything on offer.”

If you love boating, you’ll love the Gold Coast in May!
