Ontario Sailing and Gill North America announce partnership

Ontario Sailing and Gill North America are excited to announce a multi-year partnership that will see Gill North America support the Ontario Sailing Team and their coaching staff with technical podium gear. Athletes will have access to the full line of Gill's state of the art technical gear for their needs on and off the water. Gill North America will also be supplying the Ontario Sailing Learning Facilitators, our Board, and other athletes on the Ontario Summer Games team with clothing.

Gill will continue to sponsor the Gill North America Sailor of the Year Award that is given annually at the Ontario Sailing Annual General Meeting held each January.

Gill is the only purely marine clothing brand, making ultra-technical marine clothing focused on the racing and cruising sailor while also serving the boating community at large. The partnership with Ontario Sailing allows the brand to continue increasing presence and activity as the brand grows form strength to strength. David Pritchard, president of Gill North America, notes 'Gill is delighted to be working with some of the best sailing athletes in Canada who are part of the Ontario Sailing Team. Through this multi-year agreement Gill plans to support the team needs, win championships and develop new innovative products for the masses.

Ontario Sailing is the Sport Governing Body for Sailing in Ontario. Our Mission is to develop participation and competition in boating for our members through leadership in: Advocacy, High performance athletics/ athlete development, Best practices and governance, Education and training.

The Ontario Sailing Team is comprised of Ontario's top level sailing athletes in the Laser, Laser Radial, 49er, 49er FX, 470, 420 and RSX. These athletes are supported by a highly trained and dedicated coaching team. Many of these athletes are carded by the Province of Ontario's Quest for Gold Program and have personal goals of making the transition to the National Sailing Team.
