Victorians and ex world champions Paul and Bronwyn Ridgway sailing `Ridgididge' have taken out the 2016 NSW Tasar Championships at the Port Stephens Sailing and Aquatic Club with a clear 7pt win (dropping a three) over Hugh and Anna Tait on `Serendipity'. `Navy Sailing's Rick Longbottom and Darryl Bentley came in third, after a drop of an OCS from the first day’s sailing! The Ridgididgies also made a statement to the up and coming young ones in the fleet by being the first known ‘Super Grand Masters’ to win any open Tasar event (combined age of over 120).
Seven races were held in a variety of conditions over two days after racing was abandoned on the first day due to lack of wind. In the end racing was held over a variety of wind conditions from very light to fresh easterlies reaching 17kts.
