Boaters are reminded to keep clear of a section of the Hawkesbury River this Sunday for the safe staging of water ski races.
Roads and Maritime Services has granted Cliftonville Ski Club an exclusive use aquatic licence to host the event on the river between 10am and 5pm on Sunday 15 November.
A special event area marked with inflatable buoys and monitored by control vessels will be established between Cliftonville Lodge Resort on the Upper Half Moon Bend and Leetsvale Caravan and Recreational Park.
Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the marked area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a life-jacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 meters when alone, at night or offshore.
