SW
Boaters are reminded to keep clear of Bate Bay at Wanda Beach from Friday to Sunday this weekend for the safe staging of the Cronulla Rip ‘N Ride PWC event.
Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence to the New South Wales Freeride Association to host the event on the Bate Bay from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September between 7am and 4pm daily.
Approximately 400 metres of Wanda Beach from near the surf lifesaving clubhouse to around 150 out to sea on Bate Bay will be marked by buoys and monitored by control vessels.
Vessels not involved in the event should not enter the marked area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.
Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
