Foiling monohull Edmond de Rothschild’s first sea trial off Lorient – the weather forecast was dominated by a particularly active and deep low was with up 28 to 35 knots of north-westerly breeze accompanied by a 2.5 to 3-metre swell.
Joint sailors Se´bastien Josse and Charles Caudrelier (his co-skipper for the Transat Jacques Vabre) sea-trialled the Mono 60 Edmond de Rothschild in winds in excess of 30kts, on the Atlantic Ocean, and this was the first real test for the twin-foiled monohull, which carries a side hydrofoil, which is designed to partially lift the hull clear of the water, reducing drag and giving faster speeds

2015 M32 Scandinavia Series - Moving to Finland for the first time ever, the series has passed the halfway mark of the season. Team US One took a firm grip on the trophy in Copenhagen but with half of the seasons points to play for in the final two events, the Battle of Scandinavia is far from over. The event with the short course city racing finish on Sunday.

Amongst the 16 boats there are boats measuring all the way from the Maltese Falcon at 88 metres down to Elettra at 25 metres, going from the very latest of the Perini vessels vessels to boats dating back to the 1980s.

2015 RORC Cherbourg Race – After a record breaking Rolex Fastnet Race, the Royal Ocean Racing Club's 2015 RORC Season's Point Championship continues this weekend with the ever popular Cherbourg Race. 60 yachts have entered, and for nearly all of them, this will be the last race of the championship. Although the Rolex Middle Sea Race is actually the final race, the overall and class winners of the 2015 RORC Season's Point Championship are likely to be decided this weekend.
Weather forecasts are predicting a light to medium northerly gradient wind, which should prove ideal conditions for Mikey Ferguson's IMOCA 60, Artemis Ocean Racing to take Line Honours, however, Piet Vroon's Ker 51, Tonnerre de Breskens could also be the first yacht to reach Cherbourg.
