David Howard et les bénévoles de la régate de voiliers des Jeux panaméricains de Toronto de 2015 a été nommée la bénévole du mois de juillet.

La régate de voile des Jeux panaméricains de Toronto de 2015 a été reconnue par les représentants des pays en compétition comme la “meilleure régate de tous les Jeux panaméricains”. Les commentaires des athlètes, des entraîneurs et des délégués des pays participants étaient unanimes et vantaient les mérites des bénévoles qui ont contribué à faire de cette régate un moment mémorable. Les personnes vêtues de “chemises jaunes” étaient toujours souriantes, serviables et accueillantes, et fières du rôle de Toronto et du Canada comme hôtes des Amériques. David Howard, à titre de directeur de l'équipe organisatrice de la compétition, aurait, à lui seul, mérité une reconnaissance comme bénévole d'exception, mais il est toujours le premier à reconnaître qu'il est simplement un membre de l'équipe et à décerner les éloges et les félicitations à tous les membres de l'équipe qui ont fait de ces Jeux un remarquable succès.
