Star Sailors League Lake Grand Slam - More than 50 boats registered

We are delighted to count already 50 crews registered for the first ever Star Sailors League Lake Grand Slam that will take place from September 8th to 13th in Grandson, Switzerland.

One of the strongest fleet ever seen

This incredible line-up has six titles, six silver and eight bronze medals at the Olympic Games. 43 titles, 35 silver and 19 bronze medals at World Championships and an incredible number of 227 (!) national titles!

A gala dinner with the champions

The Star Sailors League is also very proud to present its first ever Gala Dinner that will take place on September 9th in the 'Salle des Quais'. Each guest will have the pleasure to dine with some of the greatest name of the sailing sport and the legendary Dennis Conner, winner of four America's Cup and Star World champion, will be present.



An event for everybody, from nine to ninety-nine

Needless to say that this event will surely propose of the strongest fleet sailing has ever seen and that the last 10 spots on the last day of racing will be incredibly tough to secure. To understand SSL Racing Format check it out on the event website.

But one should not forget all the non-professional sailors that have already signed up to take part to this amazing sailing event. The Star Sailors League is really trying to organise a competition where any sailor, regardless of his skills, can enjoy an unforgettable week of racing and share joyful moments with fellow sailors.



An exceptional opening ceremony

The Star Sailors League is also extremely proud to invite all the participants and their family to the Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Olympic Capital. During an exceptional evening dedicated to sailing, the Star Sailors League and all the participants will celebrate the opening of a brand new sailing corner, especially created for the occasion.

This will also be the occasion for the Star Sailors League to lift the veil on a very exciting surprise the staff have been working on for a few months and that we hope to be able to share with every one of you!
