James Spithill back on the match trail

In a truly dominating performance on a perfect day on the waters of Rimini, undefeated Brit, Ian Williams and his crew, rolled off four straight wins to take control of the sixth Blurimini World Match Race, an ISAF Grade 2 regatta organised by the be Club Nautico Rimini.

Mathieu Richard and Matteo Simoncelli share second place, with a three win, one loss scoreline. Poland’s Karol Jablonski also has three wins, but has two losses as well.

At two wins are five skippers, including Team NZ' Kelvin Harrap and Luna Rossa Challenge's James Spithill and Michele Ivaldi. It was a tough day for le défi skipper Philippe Presti, finished the day with only one win.

Teams will complete the round robin tomorrow, followed by Semi-finals for the top four. Finals and Petit Finals will be on Saturday.
