Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie in top form on Day 1 at the 2015 470 Europeans in Denmark 470 European Championships
Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie have opened the 2015 470 Olympic Sailing European Championships brilliantly with two wins and a second on the first day of racing in Arhus, Denmark.

Team Jolly report, “Awesome fun! Rather shifty and crazy conditions, very small split fleets of around 22 - Rather different to the fleets we have been sailing in recently! Got three races on the board, mostly good ones, so that was nice, but much more importantly we rather enjoyed the day!”

Israel’s Gil Cohen and Danielle Maman top the leader-board after a clean-sweep of three wins racing in the other fleet.

Willcox/Snow-Hansen Sailing also started well and are lying fifth in the 60 strong Men’s fleet placing fourth and fifth in their two races on day one.

Aon Fast Track up and comers Sam Barnett and Zak Merton are lying 53rd.

Qualification rounds continue tomorrow starting midday local time, with medal races on Saturday 4 July.
